A Red Alert North England Project

Foundation Stage resources

Activities
Many of these educational materials follow the traditional worksheet format, but they have all been designed in landscape to suit a computer or interactive white board. The 'Word Search' or the 'Maze' are examples of activites that could be done on an interactive white board with a drawing function. Other activities could be explained to children on the board, where everyone can see clearly, basic intructions can be found on every activity, below the heading. Similarly, activities could be consolidated by the whole class on the white board during a plenary.

   Interactive Resources

Red squirrel presentation
Download our red squirrel presentation for use in the classroom. It's best saved to your computer and then viewed using full screen mode. It tells you everything you need to know.
Use the whole thing or just pick and choose the bits you need.

Red squirrel questionnaire
The 'Nutitude Test' is an online questionnaire to find out how fantastic your squirrel knowledge is. It will open in Excell and is best used viewed through the 'full screen' option.

Red squirrel survival game
You can also 'Help Teasel to Survive' by making the right choices in our simulation covering the three basic needs, food, shelter and family. Each page has links that will move you through the simulation. For younger children, hands up voting on the carpet encourages participation and keeps children involved.
It's best saved to your computer and then viewed using full screen mode.
