We would like to say a huge Thank You to all these corporate sponsors for their continued support of the project. We would also like to thank the very many organisations and individuals who have made personal donations or fundraising activities.
Save our Squirrels Patron
Robin Page - author, broadcaster
Save our Squirrels is delighted that Robin Page, founder of the Countryside Restoration Trust, and an outspoken supporter of the red squirrel, has agreed to become a project patron. Robin's championing of the red squirrel cause in print and broadcast media has been outstanding in drawing public attention to the plight of the red squirrel, and we welcome his support.
Red Squirrel Conservation Awards
Save our Squirrels believes in publically recognising the contribution of individuals and groups to the cause of red squirrel conservation in the UK, and has created three orders of merit to allow us to do so:
-
Saviour of the Red Squirrel - awarded to those who make a significant national contribution to red squirrel conservation, speak out for the plight of the red squirrel, and provide active support for conservation efforts wherever they can.
-
Champion of the Red Squirrel - awarded to those make a significant contribution to red squirrel conservation, but who wish to be less actively involved in support
-
Red Squirrel Animateurs - awarded to those who play an important role in stimulating support for the red squirrel at a local level, and who are actively involved in supporting the work of SoS.
We have been delighted to make the following awards:
